Lineage-specific gene discovery across fungal genomes
NovInvenio identifies lineage-specific genes — proteins conserved across a defined ingroup but absent from every outgroup proteome — by combining pairwise protein search, gene-family clustering, TBLASTN validation against outgroup genomes, and Pfam/SwissProt annotation.
